Every question, answered before you ask it.
If a studio makes you book a call to find out what something costs, the call is the product. Here is everything people normally have to extract from us over a week of email, written down in one place.
Pricing & process
The ones everyone asks.
What does a website from Markora cost?
A website is $299, a brand identity is $199, and both designed together is $459. Prices are fixed and published — no hourly billing and no quote-on-request. The scope is written down before we start, so the number you see is the number you pay. The full price list is here.
How long does it take?
Seven days for a website on its own, ten days for brand and website together, five days for a brand identity. The clock starts once we have your brief and the 50% deposit — not from the day you first email.
Do I have to get on a call?
No, and this is deliberate. Everything runs async: a short written brief once, then progress in your inbox every 48 hours with a video walkthrough. Most clients spend under 30 minutes in total across an entire project. If you would rather talk, we will, but it is never a requirement.
Can I see work you have actually delivered?
Yes. Every project is published in full on the work page — including four websites recorded end to end, so you can watch them run rather than judge a screenshot. Each case study lists exactly which pieces we produced.
Where are you based, and do you work with US businesses?
Markora is a fully remote studio working async with clients across the United States, the UK, the Middle East and Europe. Time zone has never been the constraint, because nothing in our process depends on both of us being awake at the same moment. Published work includes clients in San Diego, Bristol and Dubai.
What do you need from me to start?
Your current site if you have one, a short description of what the business does and who buys from it, and any brand assets you already own. That is the brief. Ten minutes, once.
Who writes the copy?
We do, and it is included. A layout designed around real copy behaves differently from one designed around placeholder text, so we write the words and the design at the same time rather than handing you an empty shell to fill in.
What platform will my site be built on?
Most sites are hand-built in clean HTML, CSS and JavaScript — which is why they load in around a second and cost nothing per month to run. Where you need to edit content yourself or sell products, we build on a CMS or e-commerce platform that suits you and show you how to use it.
Build, ownership & after
The ones worth asking.
Will I be able to update it myself?
Yes, and we show you how at handover. If you would rather never touch it, the design retainer covers ongoing changes — but it is an option, not a dependency we design in on purpose.
Do you handle hosting and domains?
We hand over a site ready to launch and can publish it to your hosting for you. Hosting, domains and DNS stay in your own accounts and your own name, so you always own and control your site. That typically costs you $50–$200 a year, paid to your provider.
What about SEO?
Every site ships with the on-page foundation already in place: title tags, meta descriptions, clean heading structure, alt text, schema markup, an XML sitemap and a robots file. You will never have to buy an “SEO package” to fix basics that should have been done in the first place. Ongoing content and link work is a separate discipline and we will say so rather than sell you a number.
Do you redesign existing sites?
Yes, and it is a large share of the work. We keep the URLs and rankings that are already earning, rebuild around them, and agree the direction with you before a line of it is built.
What if I do not like the final design?
You approve the direction before we build it out, so there is no surprise at the end. Two rounds of changes are included from there. And if the finished result still is not right, the 100% money-back guarantee means you are never stuck paying for something you will not use.
How do I pay?
PayPal, card, or bank transfer for larger invoices. Projects split 50% to start and 50% on approval, with a written invoice for each. Every source file transfers to you on final payment. Payment details are here.
Who actually does the work?
The people you talk to. Nothing is subcontracted out to a third party you never meet, and there is no account manager between you and the person building your site.
Do you take on projects outside your listed services?
Sometimes — presentations, pitch decks, print collateral and motion graphics come up regularly. Ask. If it is not something we would do well, we will say so rather than take the job.
Still got a question? Just ask it.
No form gymnastics and no discovery call. Send the question and you will get an answer from the person who would do the work — usually the same day.
