How much does a website cost in 2026?

Across the US market a small-business website typically runs $3,000–$10,000 from an agency and $1,000–$5,000 from a freelancer, with most agencies quoting per project after a discovery call. Markora publishes a fixed number instead: $299 for a website, $199 for a brand identity and $459 for both together.

Why is Markora cheaper than a typical agency?

Because we removed the things you were paying for but never wanted: account managers, discovery workshops, weekly status calls and hourly billing that rewards slowness. A small async team on a fixed scope costs less to run than an agency floor, and we pass that on rather than pocket it.

Are there any extra costs?

No. The published price is the price. What sits outside it is named openly: domain registration and hosting, which stay in your own accounts and typically cost $50–$200 a year; original photography; paid stock; and anything quoted separately such as custom web applications or booking engines.

Do I pay everything up front?

No. Every project splits 50% to start and 50% on approval, with a written invoice for each. You see the finished work before the balance is due.

What if I do not like it?

You approve the direction before it is built out, and two rounds of changes are included. If the finished result still is not right, the 100% money-back guarantee applies — you are never stuck paying for something you will not use.

Is there a monthly fee?

Not for a project. A website is a one-off cost and the files are yours on final payment. The only recurring option is the $299/month design retainer, which is a separate service you can start, pause or cancel whenever you like.

Do you charge more for more pages?

The $299 covers the pages a normal business site needs. If your scope is genuinely larger — a big catalogue, dozens of location pages, a booking engine — we quote it before you pay anything, and it is still one fixed number rather than an hourly meter.
