Website Redesign Services — Keep Your Rankings, Fix What Is Broken | Markora

Rebuild the site without resetting the clock.

A redesign is the most dangerous project a business with existing traffic can commission, because the usual way it goes is: new site launches, rankings collapse, nobody notices for six weeks. We treat the traffic you already have as the asset it is, and rebuild around it.

Why sites get redesigned

Four reasons, and what each one actually needs.

The right fix depends entirely on which of these you are. Getting that wrong is how people spend $8,000 solving the wrong problem.

“It looks a decade older than we are”

A credibility problem. The fix is design and copy, not a platform migration. Usually the fastest and cheapest of the four.

“It gets traffic but no enquiries”

A conversion problem. The fix is structure and copy — what the page asks the visitor to do, how soon, and how much doubt is left unanswered before it asks.

“It is unusable on a phone”

A layout problem, and an expensive one, because most of your visitors are on a phone. Mobile-first rebuild, tested on real devices rather than a browser window dragged narrow.

“It takes forever to load”

A weight problem — usually a theme, a page builder and eleven plugins stacked on each other. Hand-built code removes the cause rather than compressing the symptom.

How a safe redesign runs

Seven days, with the rankings held.

  1. BEFORE ANYTHING

    Inventory

We list every URL on the current site, which ones have traffic and links, and which ones are dead weight. That list decides the structure — not a sitemap drawn from scratch.

  2. DAY 0

    Fixed price and scope

You get the number, the date and what is included, in writing, before you pay.

  3. DAY 2–4

Design and copy on the pages that earn

The pages carrying your traffic get rebuilt first and most carefully, keeping the titles and headings that are already working.

  4. DAY 5–6

    Redirect map and build

Every old URL is mapped to its new home. Anything that moves gets a 301. Nothing is left to a catch-all rule pointing at the homepage.

  5. DAY 7

    Launch and watch

We publish, re-submit the sitemap, and watch for crawl errors in the first days rather than handing over and disappearing.

What protects your traffic

The unglamorous list that decides whether this works.

  • A full URL inventory before design starts, not after launch.
  • One-to-one 301 redirects — every moved page to its closest equivalent, never a blanket redirect to the homepage.
  • Titles and headings preserved on the pages that already rank, rather than rewritten for the sake of it.
  • Content migrated in full, including the old blog posts that are quietly earning links.
  • Schema, sitemap and robots rebuilt and resubmitted at launch.
  • Speed improved, not degraded — a redesign that loads slower than the site it replaced has failed even if it looks better.

If you have an agency proposal in front of you, this is the list to check it against. If redirect mapping is not named in it, ask why.

FAQ

Redesigns, answered.

Will a redesign lose my Google rankings?
Only if it is done carelessly. The traffic you have already earned lives in your URLs, your existing content and your backlinks. We map every old URL to its new home, keep the pages that are already ranking, redirect anything that moves, and keep the title and heading structure of the pages that earn. Done properly, a redesign usually improves rankings because the site gets faster and clearer.
How much does a website redesign cost?
The same published $299 as a new build. A redesign is not more expensive because there is an old site — if anything the brief is clearer, because we can see exactly what is and is not working.
How long does it take?
Seven days from brief and deposit. Redirect mapping and content migration happen inside that, not as a phase bolted on afterwards.
Can you keep our existing brand?
Yes, and often you should. If your logo and colours have recognition with your customers, we build the new site inside them. If the brand is the actual problem, we will say so — and the brand plus website bundle at $459 is cheaper than fixing them separately later.
What if only part of the site is bad?
Then only part of it should change. Sometimes the honest answer is that your site needs a new homepage and a working contact form, not a rebuild. We will tell you when that is the case rather than sell you the bigger job.
Do you migrate our content?
Yes. Existing pages, copy, images and any blog content come across, cleaned up and rewritten where they are hurting you. Nothing is left behind by accident.

Send us the site you are embarrassed by.

We will tell you which of the four problems you actually have, what it would cost to fix, and when it would be live — before you commit to anything.
